May 2010
Dear family and friends,
As some of you know, we have embarked on the path of adoption and are very excited about building our family in this manner! We are grateful for your loving support and believe you could play a critical role in helping us find our child.
We are approved for domestic adoption and are preparing ourselves for this life-changing event. To get to this point, we selected a local adoption agency, filled out the necessary paperwork, attended adoption-related classes, and completed a home study with a social worker. The next step is to find a match between us and someone who is looking to make an adoption plan for his or her child.

This is where you can help.
While our agency is networking for us, they are also conducting outreach for about a hundred other families.  More than one-third of all domestic adoption matches are made simply through word of mouth. We have heard stories about matches made between adoptive parents and someone's college roommate's next door neighbor or a similar story. It sounds like a stretch, but it honestly happens that way quite often. So what are we asking you to do? First and foremost, pray for us, that God will bring us a child or children, according to His Will. Second, keep your eyes and ears open. If you know or hear of anyone who is thinking about making an adoption plan for a child, let us know (our contact information is below) or share our information with that person. You may also want to share our blog with them (philipandeleniadopt.blogspot.com) so that they can learn more about us. Third, send this e-mail out to your list of friends and family. You can also share our information with other community leaders, physicians, nurses, high school teachers/counselors, college professors/counselors, clergy and others who are likely to encounter families with unplanned pregnancies.

Thank you so much for your continued support and for your prayers. We can't wait to share an even better announcement soon!  By the way, you may want to sign on to our blog so you can be amongst the first to receive the good news when it comes.  May God continue to bless you!

Love,

Philip and Eleni
